About Me
Hello! My name is Brendon Soltis and I am a M.A. Student Development Administration candidate for 2014. I started my journey in higher education as a computer science major at California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. During my time at Cal Poly, I was heavily involved in orientation programs and served on the executive board for orientation my final year. Initially, I intended to work as a software developer after graduation; however, I found I missed and really enjoyed working within a university context with students.
After searching for a higher education program I believed I would fit in, I discovered Seattle University and the Student Development Administration program. The focus on social justice, holistic develop, and the opportunity for research ultimately made my decision no contest. I have enjoyed my experience and growth within the program and know I made the right decision. In my spare time, I love to watch and play ice hockey. In addition, I enjoy reading and dream of having a library in my future house and potentially owning a used bookstore at some point in life. I love the rain and coffee and I am convinced those are reasons why I fit in Seattle so well. |
